H.A.S.C. Muskoka Region

On May 5th 2009, we held our annual Safety Inspection.  After the inspection of the vehicles we all sat down for a pot luck dinner and monthly club meeting.

The first cruise of the season was on May 13, 2009, and we held a special event in support of our troops. “Treats for Troops” it was called, and all money raised from this year’s cruise nights will go towards buying Tim Horton Gift Cards to send to Kandahar for our active troops.

The cruise started at the Legion in Huntsville and paraded down through the town.  Bert Solway asked Base Borden for their support and they sent 32 troops from the Air Force Squadron which marched under the command of Sgt. Sooley.  The Legion Colour Guard and the Pipe Band lead the parade to the Canadian Tire Store. 

The cruise night had a great turnout of vehicles which consisted of everything from Military Vehicles, boats, motorcycles, and of course classic cars and trucks. 

Cruise Nights in Huntsville will be held each Wednesday at the Canadian Tire Store till the end of September.  We would appreciate it if any HASC member or Region would like to help us support “Treats for Troops”.

May 18th 2009 was the first Bracebridge Cruise Night held at the new A&W Restaurant. The night was very successful, so much so we ran out of room to park vehicles.  The Bracebridge Cruise is held every Monday until Labour Day week in September.
